The Children’s Social Development & Community Engagement Program provides a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where young children can learn, play, communicate, and build positive relationships with their peers. The program uses structured, play-based activities to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Through a combination of focus and attention games, light physical movement, icebreaker activities, and group play, children are encouraged to listen, follow instructions, take turns, communicate, cooperate, and participate confidently in group activities.

Program Activities
Children participate in a variety of engaging activities, including:

Target Group
The program is designed for children aged 3–8 years, particularly children from newcomer and immigrant
families, including members of the Yemeni-Canadian community.
Program Setting
Activities are held in indoor
community spaces, such as community centres and designated activity rooms. The program provides a safe, accessible, and supervised environment where children can participate comfortably.
